In a faraway land, there lived a little girl who dreamed of traveling the world. She collected stamps, coins and seashells… and loved making stuff - little love cards for her mama and papa, clay lamps on her potter’s wheel, rainbow candles in eggshells, hand-made wall paper...
She grew up, studied business and built a career in marketing and sales. Luckily, her dream came true - she traveled to all the continents in a few short years. Her travels inspired her sense of style, as she soaked in ideas from people, places and her adventures. She spent her time looking for easy ways to bring beauty to everyday life. A DIYer at heart - origami folds, paint splatters and crayon shavings piled up high. For most of her career, she had been in search of a way to combine her business background with her passion for creativity and design. And so, Big Blue Trunk came to be.
An MBA from INSEAD, an ex-Googler, and a proud mum to a brave little girl, she now spends her days making everyday beautiful for her customers at Big Blue Trunk.
An Annie Sloan customer herself for 7 years, she decided to switch from her corporate career to become an entrepreneur and hasn't looked back since. A highlight of her journey was when she spent a week training with Annie Sloan in Oxford on everything Chalk Paint®! Started in 2018, Big Blue Trunk brings the joy of colourful living to every home with its range of DIY & home decor brands, creative workshops and furniture upcycling services.
International artist Mishell Leong is collaborating with Big Blue Trunk to showcase her bold, vibrant use of colours in life size proportions for the first time in Singapore. Mishell will create a unique wall installation featuring the multi-faceted and diverse application of the world renowned Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® products, with the theme of “bold, strong, feminine”.

Designed to be fun and practical, this Workshop is based on 4 interior themes developed by us - Playful, Hot & Spicy, After Hours and Fresh. As a participant you will understand the framework we used to design each of these themes, as well as have the opportunity to bring them to life with miniature elements.
Leave the Workshop feeling confident in your knowledge and equipped with the tools to add colour to your home in a meaningful and tasteful way.
