Retail & Marketing Manager

Job Description

Position: Retail & Marketing Manager

Start date: ASAP

What you’ll be doing:

Retail Management (In-store and online):

• Develop a thorough understanding of our brands, products, features and unique selling points
• Consult customers in-store – understand customer needs and ideas, & make design and product recommendations accordingly
• Visual merchandising and basic housekeeping to ensure our space and display is clean and visually appealing
• Ensure that products in display are in good condition, properly labeled and organized 
• Inventory management including stock-taking (For both our outlets and for storage)
• Daily order processing, invoicing and administration
• Respond to online customer enquiries (Website chat, Whatsapp, Phone and Email)
• Process and deliver online orders through our delivery partners
• Update products and inventory on our website (Shopify) as required

Workshops & Furniture Painting:

• Market our creative workshops to customers in-store and online
• Assist in managing workshops including venue bookings, communication with participants, workshop set up and clean up
• Conduct simple workshops such as small Paint-a-Piece for children, etc.
• Manage furniture painting and upcycling customer enquiries including providing quotations, advising on colors and finishing and coordinating transport 
• Assist with furniture painting for customers 

Online Marketing, Partnerships & Events:

• Create content for social media  and the blog
• Support with social media strategy and execution
• Partnership outreach 
• Assist in managing pop-up events

Your aptitude, skills and experience:

You have an interest in interior decor, design and art

You are friendly and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and can confidently advise customers on our services and products

You are a fast learner and can adapt to changing needs of a small business

You take initiative and can come up with innovative ideas to grow the business

You are resourceful and can make things happen

Proficient English language skills (written and spoken) 

Some experience/interest with social media is preferred - Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok 

Prior retail or sales experience 

Work Arrangements:

5 or 6 Day work week - can be discussed

10:00am to 7:00pm 

Salary: $2200 upwards, based on profile and experience
